This website offers visitors information about the services provided by the Autism Society of North Louisiana (ASNLa), as well as information about Autism regarding common characteristics, steps in the diagnosis process, steps in the school evaluation process, your child’s rights in the school system, potential community resources (therapeutic and non-therapeutic) and links to further information. The information provided is strictly for educational purposes and should never be used as a diagnostic tool, or for legal consult.  Anyone accessing this information should consult with their Primary Care Provider, or qualified medical professional, regarding concerns about Autism or concerns about supports and services after diagnosis. Anyone accessing this information with legal concerns must consult appropriate channels, as no information provided should be misconstrued as “legal consult”, but rather information regarding publicly provided procedural safeguards in special education.
